Vision

Broadnook Garden Village is named after the ancient spinney running through the landscape. The design of Broadnook is unique, with inspiration drawn from Charnwood’s distinctive landscape and architectural character.

A place tocreate a home

The picturesque Garden Village is designed to be a jewel for the area.

Inspiration

Broadnook is based on century-old blueprints of a Garden Village. As early as the 19th century, the concept to build communities that combined the best of town and country were pioneered by the visionary Ebenezer Howard. His ideas led to the creation of leafy Welwyn, Letchworth and Bournville.

Blending generous parks, open green spaces and hundreds of trees with community facilities and places to work, Broadnook residents will enjoy a gorgeous, connected place to put down roots.

A place tolive your life

Broadnook is designed to be a jewel for the area.

The High Street is just a short stroll away from your new home, with a food store on the doorstep and nursery and primary school a short hop down the road.

The nearby Broadnook Court will be a thriving hub, home to the visitor centre, coffee shop and community hall.

Broadnook Garden Village residents will feel in the middle of it all, while still comfortably tucked away in this beautiful corner of Leicestershire.

Reigniting the Rothley dream

Broadnook builds on a vision that is over 100 years old.

The Rothley Garden Suburb dates back to 1909 and was a proposed area of Rothley that in many ways echoes the goals of Broadnook today.

Leafy streets lined with beautiful family homes were the cornerstone of the Rothley ideal. And like today, the brochure identifies a desire for modern amenities and fast commuting.

This gorgeous plan for a suburb is the foundation that inspired Broadnook today, and its dream of a modern, garden community is what Broadnook aspires to realise.
